INTERROGATION Debuts at the Capital Fringe Festival, Now thru 7/26

Interrogation is a dark comedy about America's declining commitment to privacy and increasing comfort level with surveillance. It is written and performed by John Feffer and directed by Mattie Griffiths (who also directed Feffer's acclaimed Edible Rex).

Interrogation will debut in the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington DC in July 2013; running time is 90 minutes. It will appear at the Mountain (900 Mass Ave., NW). Show times are: tonight, July 10 @ 8:30 pm, July 12 @ 10:15 pm, July 18 @ 8:15 pm, July 20 @ 4 pm, July 24 @ 6 pm, and July 26 @ 1 pm.

Interrogation is Feffer's sixth Fringe production in six years. His previous shows - Krapp's Last Power Point, Edible Rex, The Bird, The Pundit, and The Politician - all played to packed houses and garnered rave reviews.

Last year, The Politician was praised by DC Broadway World ("The Politician a brilliant mix of theater and politics. 'Go, just go....'), Women Around Town ("You'll never watch a talking head again without thinking of this play -- if you missed last year's The Pundit, don't miss The Politician"), and DC Metro Arts ("a riveting production and highly recommended"). The Washington Post said that The Pundit "deflates its target with a sharp satiric pin," and theWashington City Paper wrote "Feffer is a brilliant writer and performer" in its review of Edible Rex.

John Feffer is a foreign policy expert at the Institute for Policy Studies, a Washington, DC thinktank. He was recently an Open Society Foundation fellow looking at Eastern Europe 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. His latest book, Crusade 2.0, was recently released by City Lights Books & was highlighted on CSPAN BookTV in May 2012. His article "My Backlogged Pages," was published in The New York Times; an excerpt from Edible Rex & his article on Jeju Island were both published by The Washington Post.
