Aliens have landed in DC, as Seamus Sullivan's original play returns to the lap of Flying V. Incurable, directed by Flying V Producing Artistic Director Jason Schlafstein, has a special staged reading performance on April 21 in Room 103A of the Washington Convention Center at the first ever Awesome Con DC.

In the world of Incurable, Art Curator Dale Prewitt has suffered a bad break up, but is ready to jump back into the dating scene, with one problem - his penis has been colonized by a sentient alien STD colony that wants to help act as his wing man in order to spread further and terraform the genitals of Earth. Incurable is a hysterical and subversive original Sci-Fi comedy that begs the question: What can one man with nothing but a samurai-sword do in a world full of chatty STDs and existential loneliness? The answer: One whole heck of a lot.

Incurable was previously produced as a hit production in the 2011 Capital Fringe Festival during Flying V's inaugural season. With our motto of "Be Awesome" guiding our aesthetic, we knew we had to be a part of Awesome Con and its group of like-minded artists across mediums. We're thrilled to be partnering with the first ever Awesome Con DC to bring Flying V to a whole new audience, with a brand new draft of the play premiering exclusively at the event. This play contains mature language.

Incurable is written by Seamus Sullivan and directed by Jason Schlafstein. The cast will be made up entirely of Flying V company members: Adi Stein, Blair Bowers, Doug Wilder, Katie Nigch-Fairfax, and Maggie Erwin.

Incurable has one performance, at 11am on Sunday, April 21, 2013. The staged reading will take place at Awesome Con DC, in the Washington Convention Center, located at 801 Mount Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC. Tickets for Awesome Con DC range from $15-$75 and can be purchased through http://awesomecondc.com/tickets/.
