Anthony Kearns to Hold Concert at the Kimball Theater

World-renowned tenor Anthony Kearns will appear in concert at the Kimball Theater in Colonial Williamsburg on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 7:30 p.m., it was announced.

"I am very pleased to return to Williamsburg, VA - a gorgeous city known around the world for its role in history, a city full of charm and beauty," said Mr. Kearns, a member of the PBS super-group, The Irish Tenors.

"Williamsburg is among the top places to visit - and it will be lovely to be back to sing for new friends and old," said Kearns, who recently headlined a concert for Pope Francis during his historic U.S. visit to Philadelphia.

Mr. Kearns, who has performed in the world's most prestigious venues from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl, said he has performed in Williamsburg, VA at various venues in recent years - including Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall on the campus of the College of William and Mary as well as at Colonial Williamsburg's Kimball Theater - where he will perform again on November 13.

Recognized as one of Ireland's finest exports, Mr. Kearns will perform during a two-hour concert of nostalgic songs, uplifting music, and well-loved melodies of a "Golden Age" with piano accompaniment by Jon Laird of Washington, D.C.

In 1999, Anthony Kearns took the American television audience by storm as a member of the wildly-popular musical group, The Irish Tenors, with whom he has 10 CDs and five PBS specials. Their CDs have gone Gold, Platinum and Double Platinum.

Mr. Kearns has an international solo career, delighting audiences with performances that draw from a wide variety of opera, classical music, Broadway songs and international favorites. He released his first solo CD, "With a Song in My Heart," last fall.

Anthony Kearns frequently performs on television, at charity benefits, in operas, and with some of the world's finest symphony orchestras.. He has had the honor to sing for three U.S. Presidents, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Medal of Honor recipients, among others.
