Adam Trent, John Cameron Mitchell, & Jukebox Hero Come to the National Theatre Tickets will go on sale on Friday, September 28 for three special events during the National Theatre's 2018-2019 season - THE MAGIC OF Adam Trent (Saturday, February 2, 2019), THE ORIGIN OF LOVE: THE SONGS AND STORIES OF HEDWIG with John Cameron Mitchell (Friday, February 8, 2019), and JUKEBOX HERO THE MUSICAL (Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23, 2019).

Put on some makeup and turn on your tape deck - it's time to experience the original Hedwig! John Cameron Mitchell, the double Tony Award-winning, Golden Globe-nominated co-creator and original star of Hedwig & the Angry Inch, performs songs from his groundbreaking rock musical and regales the audience with stories from 20 years of Hedwig's history. He'll also preview songs from his upcoming musical Anthem. John directed, starred and, with songwriter Stephen Trask, wrote the multi-award winning musical and film Hedwig & the Angry Inch. John also directed Shortbus and the film of the Pultizer Prize-winning play Rabbit Hole. He appeared in the original Broadway productions of The Secret Garden, Big River, and Six Degrees of Separation. Recent recurring TV roles include HBO's Girls and Vinyl, CBS's The Good Fight, and Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle.

Jukebox hero The Musical

The world-wide premiere production of a new musical based on the music of Foreigner. JUKEBOX HERO is set in Blaydon, Pennsylvania, a rust-belt town dependent on one main industry. When the town's biggest factory closes and its workforce finds itself unemployed, the town seeks the help of Blaydon's most famous son - music superstar Ryan Perry. For Ryan, though, returning to Blaydon doesn't just mean revisiting a town where he has become a stranger, it means confronting the ghosts of his past. Featuring such Foreigner hits as "I Want To Know What Love Is," "Cold As Ice," "Waiting For A Girl Like You," "Hot Blooded," "Urgent," "Head Games," "Feels Like The First Time" and "Jukebox Hero."
