Quin Hotel Debuts New Exhibit in Partnership with The New York Academy Of Art

On March 1st, the Quin will debut a compelling exhibit in partnership with the New York Academy of Art. The collection, co-curated by DK Johnston and Heidi Elbers, Director of Exhibitions at the Academy, features work from seven of the prestigious graduate program's most accomplished alumni. The exhibit will be on view to the public at The Quin, located at the intersection of 57th Street and Sixth Avenue in Manhattan through April 2018.

On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Dorset Theatre Festival began its 6th annual Jean E. Miller Young Playwrights Competition and Workshops. This program provides an opportunity for students to learn about playwriting and create a short 10-60 page play of their own. Workshop participants typically include more than 15 schools, 300 students, and 60 play submissions.

The Writing/Composing team of Aryanna Garber and Benjamin Velez are the winners of the Weston Playhouse Theatre's 12th Annual New Musical Award for their musical BORDERLINE. The only award of its kind in the country, the Weston New Musical Award brings the creator or creators of a promising new project together with a small ensemble of actors to rehearse and record selections from the winning score with Grammy winner Kurt Deutsch of Sh-K-Boom Records.
Northern Stage Announces $1.25 Million National Theater Partnership

Northern Stage today announced the winners of an unprecedented new grant to support women artistic directors in professional theaters across the United States. The BOLD Theater Women's Leadership Circle, led by Carol Dunne, Producing Artistic Director of Northern Stage, will provide $1.25 million of support for Northern Stage and four other theaters run by female artistic directors during the 2018-2019 season. Each theater will receive a $250,000 grant.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, celebrates the continuation of the Rolling World Premiere Doublewide by Stephen Spotswood at Vermont Stage. The play will receive a total of four distinct NNPN RWP productions, rolling through Member Theaters Florida Repertory Theatre (Fort Myers; September 22-October 29, 2017), Florida Studio Theatre (Sarasota; August 2-20, 2017), Vermont Stage (Burlington; January 24-February 11), and Williamston Theatre (MI; January 27-Feburary 18, 2018). Doublewide is NNPN's 66th Rolling World Premiere.

World Premiere of DOUBLEWIDE to be Performed at Vermont Stage

Seven Days, Vermont's Independent Voice, reports that Vermont Stage will host the world premiere of Stephen Spotswood's new play DOUBLEWIDE, running January 24th - February 11th. DOUBLEWIDE has been picked up by the National New Play Network, an organization that aims to help new plays gain visibility by promising a given play that their work will be picked up by at least three participating theaters in the span of the year. DOUBLEWIDE will be produced first in Vermont, before later being staged by theaters in Florida and Michigan.

Paciolan today announced it has entered into a partnership with the City of Sandy Springs to provide ticketing and Marketing Automation services for the facilities at City Springs. City Springs, currently under construction, is a multi-use complex featuring the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center including the 1,070-seat Byers Theatre and a Studio Theatre, as well as a programmable City Green and additional performance spaces. Inaugurated in 2014, New Works Now presents rehearsed staged readings of plays new to the American theater.
