Young Artists Showcase Returns To The Town Hall Theater 4/3

Talented high school students from all over the area will take to the stage for Town Hall Theater's fourth annual Young Artists Showcase.

"We created this show to celebrate kids who've really accomplished something in the arts," says THT executive director Doug Anderson. "Every year, we're blown away by these performances."

The Fourth Young Artists Showcase will be at Town Hall Theater on Saturday, April 3, at 8 pm.

This year's showcase will feature singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and even a rock band. Among those scheduled to appear are Ruby Dombek, Robbie Gill, Hannah Kraus, Isabel McGrory-Klyza, Evan Monod, Jennifer Morse, Brady Winslow, Ethan Roy, Sierra Wolfson, the MUHS rock group "Departure", and the MUHS Dance Crew.

Contributing to the students' success is the expert guidance of their local teachers, among them Julia Blocksma, Gene Childers, Michael Corn, Diana Fanning, Sophia Hirsch, Elizabeth LeBeau, Donna Perrin, Bill Reed and Patty Smith.

"Young people in this area have access to terrific teachers," says Anderson. "In many ways, this show is a tribute to them."

Anderson is quick to point out that this is not a competition. "Art shouldn't be a competition," he says. "Every kid in this show is a winner."
