The Northern Stage production of Lee Blessing's A WALK INTO THE WOODS, directed by Nicolas Kent, will play its final performance on April 3, 2010. A WALK INTO THE WOODS was a Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, and Olivier Award Nominee.

In 1983, faced with a breakdown in nuclear arms reduction talks between Ronald Reagan and Yuri Andropov, the lead negotiators met secretly in Geneva's Botanic Garden to break the impasse. Based on those real-life events, Blessing puts a human face on the life-and-death issues confronted by two Cold War adversaries.
And from April 14 - May 2 Brooke Ciardelli will direct GREATER TUNA by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard.

Two actors, 19 characters, and the funniest send-up of small-town life you're likely to see. Tune in to WOKK in Tuna, Texas-at least when they remember to turn the transmitter on-and you'll recognize your friends and neighbors in this parade of oddballs and half-wits.

Adapted from the Book by Richard & Florence Atwater, this new musical adaptation is based on the Newberry Honor book by Richard and Florence Atwater. Mr. Popper and his family have their small-town lives turned upside down when they receive a penguin from Antarctica. Soon, one penguin becomes two, then ten, eating the Popper's out of house and home and nearly emptying the family bank account until Mr. Popper comes up with a plan to put the whole family into vaudeville!
