GREAT STORIES FROM A SMALL COUNTRY

In 2010, Helen and Peter, two singers & songwriters from the Amsterdam area, traveled through America in search of musical adventure and new inspiration. Having departed with only a small bag and a guitar, they returned home with suitcases full of songs and stories. Back in Holland, they set up a series of concerts to share these new-found treasures. They called their show "Grote Verhalen" ("Great Stories" - or perhaps: "Tall Tales"). The Tall Tales were warmly received, the Dutch audiences charmed by the American stories and songs.

Now they have come back to the US to return the favor. Helen and Peter sing and tell "Great Stories from a Small Country" to American audiences. They will present musical gems from Holland as well as other parts of Europe, originals and an occasional classic from the Old World. They also will share some beautiful songs that they discovered or wrote during their first trip across the US.

Some in the local audience may remember Helen from her appearances in 2006 with the stunning Dutch women's chorale, "LeLe Man". Peter is well-known in Europe for his guitar playing and songwriting and will have CDs available at the concert. The small theatres limited supply of tickets at the door will be $15.00 each for adults, $12.00 each for seniors and children. To make reservations, call 802-254-8684.
