The Porfiaos Club is the club that we all want to belong, the optimists, that of those who rise, that of having that kind of "bounce" off the trials of life or country.
A show of Cesar Miguel Rondon who, along with Leonardo Padrón, invites the viewer to travel through the territories of despair, heartbreak and love; failure and triumph; uprooting and establishment; Fear and courage; Sadness and joy; of loneliness and uncertainty and friendship and certainty; of darkness and light; of grief and consolation.
A tour is done with a good dose of humor, poetry and, above all, music.
The talented Mariaca Semprún, and Rolando Padilla, backed by a blunderbuss of teachers like Alfredo Naranjo and Aquiles Báez, with Adolfo Herrera, Carlos Rodriguez and Leowaldo Aldana stroll alike for salsa, tango, bolero, jazz, bossanova, rock and even Mexican rancheras. The address is borne by the master Héctor Manrique.
The Club Porfiaos, is a production of 6J86 Productions, the makers of "The Book of Salsa Live" and "The Life there Amores".
The Club Porfiaos Friday 01 Saturday 02 at 8pm and Sunday 03 May at 6pm in the BOD Cultural Center.
