World-Class Performers Show Some Spirit In Gin-Inspired Cabaret Raise a glass to the funniest show in town, as the internationally-acclaimed Mother's Ruin heads to Pyramid later this month.

This hilarious show is a musical extravaganza that delves into the history of the very thing Brits have gone crazy for - gin!

Historical and hysterical in equal measure, Mother's Ruin will take you on a whirlwind journey through time and space, as you lose yourself in the company of sailors, barmaids and bootleggers, who tell the tale of the rise of the nation's favourite drink.

This laugh-out-loud comedy has won rave reviews across the globe, selling-out a season at last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival and packing out theatres up and down the country.

After reviewing the show last year, The Scotsman said: "As well as demonstrating their talent across an impressive range of musical registers, Marsden and Wood maintain a spot-on balance of larky humour, bolshy political consciousness, palpable passion for their subject and sheer joie de vivre. Well worth raising a glass to."

Now, the dynamic duo are back to whisk you off on a raucous adventure through 18th-century London, a few New York speakeasies, the Australian bush and even the jungles of Peru, as they deliver this musical history lesson served with a garnish of dry wit.

With toe-tapping songs originally performed by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Martha Wainwright, Tom Waits, The Pretenders, Jessie J and more, Mother's Ruin might just prove to be the perfect tonic for you!
