Cabinet of Wonders, the acclaimed variety show hosted by celebrated author, NPR personality and singer/songwriter Wesley Stace, heads to London tonight January 31 for a show at Cecil Sharp House.

For Cabinet of Wonders Stace brings together friends and collaborators from across the worlds of music, literature and comedy. The October 24 set will include performances by Eric Andersen, Dom Flemons (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Skylar Gudasz, Mac McCaughan(Superchunk & Portastatic), Eugene Mirman, Dani Shapiro and Sarah Vowell. Jonathan Coe, Shirley Collins, Kristin Hersh, The High Llamas, Harry Hill, Nick Lowe and Paul Muldoon will perform in London tonight, January 31.

Since his critically acclaimed 1988 debut It Happened One Night Wesley Stace, formerly known by his stage name John Wesley Harding, has recorded 19 records for both major (Sire, Hollywood) and independent (Mammoth, Rhino, Appleseed, Yep Roc) labels alike. Stace is the author of four novels (including the international bestseller Misfortune), teaches a course called "How to Write a Song" at Princeton University with poet Paul Muldoon and is an artist-in-residence at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is also a regular contributor to The New York Times' Measure For Measure blog.
