Vertigo Theatre Productions' new thriller 'M' opens this week.

'M' is written by Craig Hepworth and Adele Stanhope and is loosely based on Frederick Knott's play Dial M For Murder and the Alfred Hitchcock movie of the same name.

A sinister thriller, 'M' also tips its hat to the movie teen thriller genre such as Gossip and Cruel Intentions, where morals take a back seat to backstabbing, manipulation and murder.

Set in Manhattan's elite district, the story revolves around a wealthy brother and sister who seem to have the perfect relationship, yet one of them is planning to kill the other. When the plan goes wrong and the evidence against them starts to pile up, things begin to unravel and we see just how far people are prepared to go to get their own way.

The production reunites many of the Dog Sees God alumni such as Hepworth and Stanhope themselves as well as Rick Carter, Emma Willcox and Stuart Reeve as well as welcoming new talent such as Dale Vicker, Justin Lanata and Mael Ellis.

'M' marks the company's fifth production after successful runs of 3sum, a stage adaptation of The Breakfast Club and most recently the UK premiere of the multi award winning off Broadway play Dog Sees God; Confessions Of A Teenage Blockhead a productions which transferred from its original home at Taurus to the Lowry and had a sell-out run.
