After last year's acclaimed Thatcherwrite season at Theatre503, the 60 seat new writing powerhouse will continue their series of explorations into contemporary subjects - 503Features - with IS IT GETTING COLD IN HERE....? Focusing on plays on and from Russia from today, 24 to 28 June.

Russia. A place of extremes. Democracy and oppression, beauty and terror, oligarchs and outcasts. A country that birthed Tolstoy, Chekhov, Mayakovsky and Pussy Riot.

A bridge and a barrier between the East and the West that enriches our culture as powerfully as it challenges it.

So what is Russia really like now and how does it continue to affect us....

Theatre503 in association with Sputnik Theatre present a collection of contemporary perspectives on Russia from established playwrights and journalists including Steve Waters (World Music, Contingency Plan), Ailis Ni Riain (Desolate Heaven) and Daily Telegraph Theatre Critic Dominic Cavendish (Thatcherwrite). They will be joined by the breaking voices of Chris Bush, Charlotte Coates and Stuart Slade and the work of Nina Bolenitskaya and Evgeny Kazachkov emerging voices from Russia.

IS IT GETTING COLD IN HERE.... ? is the latest in the 503Features series. Past productions have included DECADE, COALITION, HACKED and most recently THATCHERWRITE.
