The Rose Theatre Presents OUR TOWN: A KINGSTON STORY, Sept. 9-12
By: Jessikah Hackett
On Tuesday 27 July the Rose Theatre was buzzing with enthusiasm at the launch of Our Town: A Kingston Story and Artistic Director Stephen Unwin called upon local businesses to back the project.
Local resident Amanda Maidment said "The launch was very useful and there was a great turn out. It enabled the local community to have a voice. There was a lot of enthusiasm and contribution made by locals. I got the opportunity to speak to the theatre team which helped me get a better understanding of what contribution I can make. It's a great way for the theatre to give back to the community". Our Town: A Kingston Story runs from 9 - 12 September and Artistic Director Stephen Unwin has called upon local businesses. "We have already had some local businesses come forward to support the project, both in kind and financially but we are still looking for local businesses to donate £200 towards production costs. It's a huge project and we want to continue to get as many people involved as possible."For more information about the Rose Theatre, please visit http://www.rosetheatrekingston.org/
