The Point Announces Christmas Programming

By:

This festive period The Point, Eastleigh has a fantastic programme of seasonal shows just perfect for the whole family. With two in-house productions and one very special show taking place in the Creation Space The Point will be abuzz with Christmas cheer this November and December.

Starting the season is The Point Youth Theatre's The 12 Days of Christmas. Now sold out, audiences can expect to step back in time to a Christmas Eve, where behind the doors of an old abandoned house lays the shadow of a grandfather clock. This is a marvelous winter tale filled to the brim with delicious storytelling and festive cheer.

On Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th December Filskit Theatre transforms the venue's Creation Space into an arctic setting for the whimsical Breaking the Ice. This is the enchanting true story of the unlikely friendship between a Husky and a Polar Bear, told through music, shadows and projection in a relaxed setting for young people.

"Visually and aurally rewarding, inclusive theatre with outstanding original music for the very young." - The Stage

Perfect fun for children aged 2 - 5 and their families, tickets are £9 with £7 concessions.

Closing the season is OUTLAW The Story of Robin Hood from The Point Youth Theatre. Running Monday 19th December to Saturday 24th December, this production has been adapted from Michael Morpurgo's popular novel, telling the story of a young Robin Hood as he rises up against the cruel Sheriff of Nottingham.

With bold storytelling, dynamic movement and live music, this rip-roaring, fast-paced adventure is brilliant festive entertainment for the whole family. Tickets are £12 with £10 concessions and £8 for those aged 16 and under.
