The Marlowe Will Host CIRQUE BERSERK
Cirque Berserk! is a circus show especially designed for a theatre setting, now in its fifth year. Showcasing the finest in traditional circus thrills and skills, Cirque Berserk! celebrates the 250th anniversary of the invention of circus by bringing this form of live entertainment up to date.
Combining contemporary cirque-style artistry with adrenaline-fuelled stunt action, this talented international troupe includes more than 30 jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, drummers and daredevil stuntmen.
It features the world's most hair-raising circus act: the legendary motorcycle Globe of Death. Performed live on stage in Britain for the first time, four bikers ride upside down in the globe at speeds of up to 60mph.
Other acts include acrobatics, aerialists, knife-throwing, juggling and Cirque Berserk's Hungarian dance troupe.
Cirque Berserk! is at The Marlowe Theatre from Wednesday 29 August to Saturday 1 September, with various performance times. Tickets, priced from £15.25 to £29.75 (concessions available) are from the Box Office on 01227 787787, and marlowetheatre.com.
