The Electric Light Orchestra Greatest Hits To Perform in Swindon

The Electric Light Orchestra Greatest Hits show, performed live by the incredible ELO Experience, is on its way to Swindon.

Between 1972 and 1986, Electric Light Orchestra enjoyed twenty-six top forty hits in the United Kingdom, and twenty top forty hits in the United States. The global success was proven when the band set out on a nine-month, 92-date world tour - the band played at the Wembley Arena for eight straight “sold-out” nights during the tour, a record at that time.

The fantastic songs and arrangements have stood the test of time and incredibly, still sound like modern productions. The ELO Experience perform all the hits in a two hour show, including Wild West Hero, Hold on Tight, Shine a Little Love, Confusion, It’s a Living Thing, The Diary of Horace Wimp, Sweet Talkin’ Woman, Telephone Line, Don’t Bring Me Down, Turn To Stone and Mr Blue Sky.

The band lineup includes two cellists, along with the three guitarists, a keyboard player and drummer. Strings and vocals are key features in the arrangements, with many songs requiring four part harmonies.
