THE BODYGUARD Comes to The Marlowe

The West End smash-hit musical The Bodyguard, returns to Canterbury next month (May) with Alexandra Burke* in the lead role.

Alexandra will play the role of Rachel Marron, made famous by Whitney Houston in the original film. Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar singer Rachel from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge - what they don't expect is to fall in love.

Based on the Warner Bros. film written by the acclaimed, Oscar-nominated screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders Of The Lost Ark, The Big Chill, The Empire Strikes Back), with a book by Oscar-winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman), this extraordinary production has been dazzling audiences around the world.

A "brilliant!" (The Times), breathtakingly romantic thriller, The Bodyguard features a whole host of irresistible classics Queen Of The Night, So Emotional, One Moment In Time, Saving All My Love, I Have Nothing, Million Dollar Bill, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and one of the greatest hit songs of all time - I Will Always Love You.
