Sell a Door Presents PROOF, May 3-29

With just two week until opening, Multi Award winning Sell a Door Theatre Company are excited to announce their cast for the Pulitzer and Tony award winning drama "PROOF" .
Holly Easterbrook, recently staring in Assassins at the Union, will lead the cast playing protagonist Catherine. She is joined by Amy Burke (nominated for an Off-West End award for her role in Godspell in 2011) will play sister Claire. Marcus Taylor will play the two sister's father Robert, whilst Arts Ed graduate Dan Cohen has been cast in the part of mathematical academic Hal.Catherine is about to turn twenty-five and her life is a mess. Her father Robert, once a brilliant mathematician, has just died and Catherine is starting to show unmistakable symptoms of clinical depression. Unable to move on with her life, she reflects on the youth she has lost to her father's long battle with mental illness.proof that mathematicians thought impossible. But as Robert's life and final days become the focus of Hal's investigation, evidence of who actually wrote the notebooks quickly becomes the more crucial proof.While Hal continues to investigate the life and work of his professor, Catherine begins to wonder how much of her father's genius - and indeed madness - she has inherited. Artistic Director David Hutchinson returns to The Playhouse to direct the production with Executive producer Louise Cabral.
