2012 is already racing by, and Pighog Press continues its 10th anniversary celebrations with poetry, books, Brighton Fringe, prizes and more. See below for details.

Thursday Redroaster Series
Continues this week with the penetrating and beautiful ecological poetry of Hugh Dunkerley, and the angsty hilarity of Brighton favourite Gary Goodman. Don't miss out on your chance to read alongside these superb poets by taking part in our open mic slots. Tickets (£5).

Three New Books
This month Pighog staff took to the road to tell the world about three new books at London Book Fair.

A Year's Midnight is the brilliant and hilarious debut novel from Limerick's Ciaran O'Driscoll. Simultaneously a page-turning mystery and a lyrical evocation of its protagonist's tragi-comic mental mishaps, the novel was given a rapturous reception at its recent London launch.

Double Edge is the debut full collection from Lewes-based poet Kay Syrad. In this work of poise and dextrous wordplay, Syrad explores all kinds of limits and differences - between self and other, inside and outside, the natural and the made.

Also fresh from its London launch is Hallucinated Horse: New Latin American Poets, an edgy and magical sampler of the work of young poets from all over the Americas. With English translations facing the Spanish originals, this is a refreshing and essential poetic experience.

Fringe
Pighog's presence at Brighton Festival Fringe is a celebration of the energy and vitality of the spoken word in all its forms. The company has the privilege of offering up a richly entertaining line-up which includes Ciaran O'Driscoll, Shedman, Xelís de Toro, Tony Flynn, A Lifetime of Love, Kevin Elyot, the all-new Echo Room, and many, many more fabulous talents. The full festival programme and advance tickets are now available here.

The Moss Rich International Poetry Prize
In honour of poet Moss Rich, who died in December 2011 in his 102nd year, Pighog Press is delighted to be running the Pighog Moss Rich International Poetry Prize - this year for Humorous and Satirical Poetry. Send Pighog your humorous or satirical poems up to 30 lines in length by June 29th 2012 for your chance to win £1000.
