MONSTERS World Premiere Concert to Play The Other Palace in October
Antony Irwin wrote the book, music and lyrics, with Lewis Reece-Jones directing the gothic disco musical.
The full cast has been revealed for the world premiere concert of MONSTERS: A Killer New Comedy Musical, a glitter-soaked new gothic musical comedy receiving its first London performance at The Other Palace on Friday 23 October 2026, just in time for Halloween.
With book, music and lyrics by Scottish writer Antony Irwin and direction by Lewis Reece-Jones, MONSTERS takes some of the world's most infamous creatures out of the shadows and throws them under the mirrorball of the Blood Moon Ball in an original pop-rock and disco-inspired musical about identity, transformation and chosen family.
The Voice UK 2022 winner Anthonia Edwards will play Nyx, the primordial Goddess of Night and leader of Dracula's three immortal Brides. She is joined by Josh Spencer-Pepper, currently appearing in the UK tour of Jersey Boys, as Count Dracula; Anna Robertson, whose credits include Universal Studios' Universal Monsters Rock & Roll Show, as Melinoë; and Deon Adams, previously seen in the West End production of The Book of Mormon, as self-declared hero Abraham Van Helsing.
Completing the company are Madison Billy as Arae, Elizabeth Victoria as Lucy Westenra, Joe Sutton as Adam Frankenstein, Finola Hedderman as Emma Wildh, Lyndan Barclay as Igor, Liam Braithwaite as The Invisible Man, Lisa Kirby as Creepy Orphan Girl and Reece Ford as Literally Every Other Character.
The production is directed by Lewis Reece-Jones, with Isabelle Chapman as Production Manager.
About Monsters
Welcome to a world where the creatures of legend are very real and considerably more complicated than the stories would have you believe.
There's Count Dracula, legendary vampire, eternal narcissist and host of the most exclusive supernatural event of the year: The Blood Moon Ball.
His three immortal Brides, Nyx, Melinoë and Arae, are ancient Greek goddesses who have spent centuries looking fabulous, pouring the wine and quietly wondering whether eternity with Dracula was really the best career move.
Then there's Adam Frankenstein, a seven-foot collection of second-hand body parts with the inconvenient habit of being one of the nicest people in the room, and Lucy Westenra, who discovers that being brought back from the dead might actually be the making of her.
Emma Wildh is a werewolf with unfinished business. Abraham Van Helsing is a devastatingly handsome vampire hunter who has already decided he's the hero. Igor is Dracula's long-suffering assistant. And The Invisible Man is doing his very best to narrate the whole thing ... despite the fact nobody can see him.
Throw in a Creepy Orphan Girl, several deeply questionable decisions and one spectacular Blood Moon Ball, and Dracula's perfectly controlled world is about to come spectacularly undone.
Set against a world of gothic horror, pop-rock anthems and unapologetic disco excess, the musical explores identity, transformation, acceptance and finding the courage to embrace exactly who you are.
Following a successful development workshop in the USA in 2025 and the release of a concept recording, the Halloween concert at The Other Palace marks the next stage in the musical's development and its first public presentation.
Writer and composer Antony Irwin said, "There couldn't be a better time to unleash MONSTERS on London than Halloween. The show takes all these characters we've been told for generations to fear and asks what happens when we finally let them tell their side of the story. It's ridiculous, glamorous and very funny, but underneath all the fangs, fur and disco balls is a story about finding your people and having the courage to be exactly who you are. To premiere it at The Other Palace with this extraordinary cast is incredibly exciting. I've lived with these monsters for a long time. I can't wait for everyone else to finally meet them."
