Photo Flash: Meet the Cast of BIRDY, Beg. Tonight at The Marlowe Theatre
Birdy is a love story that skips past the happy ever after and laughs at the absurdity of real life. A word-famous chanteuse, Birdy, falls passionately in love with a hopeless young illusionist, but with the birth of their first child, the spotlight suddenly shifts. Wildlife & Lyric's fast-paced adventure about becoming a mother has comedy, live original music and some adult content. Wildheart & Lyric were founded in 2012 by sisters Mella Punchard and Katie Cooper. Mella is a stalwart of the music festival scene, travelling far and wide with The Hurly Burly Theatre Café. Katie has performed with children's theatre company Gomito, and now tours with her one-woman show for children.
Accompanying the sisters in Birdy are performers Carla Espinoza, Oliver Harrison and Alex Stanford.Birdy is at The Marlowe Studio at 2pm and 8pm on Thursday 24 October. Tickets, cost £12 (concessions available) from the Box Office on 01227 787787 or at marlowetheatre.com.
