The world-renowned Reduced Shakespeare Company celebrate Shakespeare's 400th anniversary with the European premiere of their brand new show, and Shakespeare's oldest play, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. BroadwayWorld has your first look at Reduced Shakespeare Company's LONG LOST FIRST PLAY.

Discovered in a treasure-filled parking lot in Leicester, an ancient manuscript proves to be the long-lost first play by none other than the young William Shakespeare from Stratford, whose rookie attempt at playwriting sees characters from his later work colliding in an epic new story that would play for 100 hours if performed uncut. Never phased by the need for abridgement, the

Reduced team set to work, using questionable scholarship and scant respect for Shakespearean orthodoxy. The trio of comic actors throw themselves into a fast, funny, and frenzied festival of physical finesse, witty wordplay, and vaudevillian variety.

This production comes fresh from an acclaimed world premiere at Washington DC's prestigious Folger Shakespeare Library, and features an all-American cast including RSC creative directors ReEd Martin and Austin Tichenor.
