This month, join Firwood Waterloo Rugby Club for Play Under the Posts as they present Off The Ground's first public performances of Jason & the Argonauts. Embark on an epic adventure in this unique setting, with Jason and his band of heroic Argonauts.

See how Jason uses all his strength and wit to evade the beastly Minotaur, how he and his gang avoid certain doom from the women on the Isle of Lemnos, and how they evade the lure from the enchanting sounds of the Sirens...and ultimately win in the quest for the Golden Fleece.

Can Jason survive and return home to claim his right to the throne?.

This is the first time Firwood Waterloo Rugby Club have organised such an event. Speaking of the initiative Dave Raywood, club Chairman, said:

'We are very excited to be bringing Off The Ground to the club, I can highly recommend it as a night out for all the family and we are keen that as many people from Waterloo and Crosby area come so we can make this an annual event.'

Bring a picnic, something to sit on and watch how the mighty Gods of Greece, Zeus and Hera, play with human lives to satisfy their own desires. A summer show not to be missed, packed full of song, sword fighting and heroic adventure across the sea.

About OFF THE GROUND: Off The Ground Theatre's first production was in 1994 with a contemporary revival of John Osborne's Look Back in Anger. However, the highlight of the first year was undoubtedly the open-air production of Twelfth Night, which toured stately homes in North Wales and Northwest England. The tour has been extended over the years and subsequent tours have played to full-houses both in the UK and Ireland. OTG also produces touring theatre shows for performance in theatres, outdoor venues and schools.

Off the Ground Theatre believes in giving as many people as possible the opportunity to partake in theatre. All our tours operate a strong youth policy which means employing young professionals we aim to provide training to those who wish to expand their skill-base, employment to those embarking on a career, and a fine evening's entertainment to those who want a night out!
