Nick Parr Joins ATG as Theatre Director of New Wimbledon Theatre
Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) has appointed Nick Parr in the role of Theatre Director at New Wimbledon Theatre.
Nick started in his new role on Monday 22nd January.
Nick has 25 years experience in cultural management having worked in theatres across the UK, including Dundee Rep, King's and Festival Theatres in Edinburgh, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Derby Assembly Rooms, New Theatre Oxford, Liverpool Empire and Edinburgh Playhouse.
He joins ATG from Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre where he was Chief Executive. Nick's role had direct line management responsibility for the two artistic directors, marketing, finance, administration, HR and development (fundraising). He also had overall responsibility for the organisation's commercial success and delivery of its charitable and community objectives.
Before joining Dundee Nick was Commercial Director of the Festival and King's Theatre in Edinburgh (Festival City Theatres Trust). He had specific responsibility for development (fundraising), income generation, marketing and communications. As a key member of the team that transformed the fortunes of the theatres Nick helped the trust appear in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies To Work For list for 2015.
Prior to his role in Edinburgh, Nick worked for North Lanarkshire Council where he led the venues team. He oversaw the £6-million refurbishment of the Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre and the start of a £3-million refurbishment to Airdrie Town Hall.

I'm looking forward to joining the brilliant team at Wimbledon and to playing my part in the continuing success of this great theatre. It has been a long-held ambition of mine to work for ATG and I'm excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this visionary company."
