Following its Edinburgh success, Milly Thomas's Brutal Cessation comes to London for a one-week run at Theatre503, playing October 31 - November 4, 2017 at 7:30 pm and 3 pm November 4, 2017.

Brutal Cessation is a savage new play by award-winning Milly Thomas exploring violence in relationships, our expectations of gender and what happens when we're no longer in love but refuse to let go. Reprising their roles are Offie-nominated Lydia Larson (Skin A Cat, VAULT Festival and The Bunker) and Alan Mahon (If We Got Some More Cocaine I Could Show You How I Love You, Old Red Lion).

The award-winning Theatre503 supports and stages more first time writers than any other theatre in the country. At the heart of this commitment is a belief that the most important element in a writers' development is to see their work on a stage, in front of an audience, performed to the highest professional standard. In the last 18 months 169 new writers have had their work performed there, with three West End transfers and two national tours. Theatre503 is air conditioned, with new comfortable seats and a first rate gastro-pub downstairs.

Milly Thomas comments, "I'm delighted to bring Brutal Cessation to Theatre503. It's directly thanks to the support of this venue that I became a writer at all and I'm so excited to see my work find a home here again. Brutal Cessation is a play very close to my heart and it feels right that Theatre503 is the venue to stage it and see it have another life post-Edinburgh."
