Michelle Wolf to Bring New Stand-Up Show BEST JOB IN THE WORLD on UK Tour
The Emmy nominee will perform at Edinburgh Playhouse and Soho Theatre Walthamstow on the upcoming run.
Primetime Emmy nominee Michelle Wolf has established herself as one of the defining voices in modern comedy, and this summer returns to the UK with her major tour Best Job in the World, running from June to July, before making a highly anticipated return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August with her biggest and brand-new stand-up show. Tickets for dates across the UK are on sale now.
Beginning in Swindon on 11th June, the tour will travel to cities including Cambridge, Oxford, Brighton, Bath, Bristol and London's Soho Theatre Walthamstow, before culminating in a special Fringe performance at the Edinburgh Playhouse on 24th August.
From the chaotic mind of one of comedy's most fearless voices. Michelle Wolf is back with a hilarious deconstruction of society, gender roles and somehow, testicles.
Metaphorically. For the love of God, metaphorically.
Known for her fearless perspective and boundary-pushing comedy, Michelle Wolf has earned widespread acclaim through her stand-up specials and standout late-night appearances. In her new hour, she turns her attention to everything from today's political climate to the realities of her personal life. Combining sharp wit, candid storytelling and incisive humour, Wolf approaches controversial subjects with intelligence and a refreshingly unfiltered perspective. You'll learn something, you'll laugh a lot and you might even discover what the best job in the world really is.
Sharp, outrageous and relentlessly honest, the new show sees no topic off limits as Wolf unpacks everything from parenting young boys to the absurd realities of women's health and the impossible expectations placed on both men and women in modern society. With her trademark blend of fearless social commentary and absurd observations, she takes aim at outdated ideas around masculinity and motherhood, the shortcomings of medical care and menstrual products, and the pressure on men to suppress emotion in favour of being stoic providers.
Making her highly anticipated return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August following a sold-out work-in-progress show last year, and ahead of a major UK tour, the new show sees Wolf return to stages across the country after a string of critically acclaimed stand-up specials and sold-out live performances.
Michelle Wolf has released four stand-up specials across Netflix and HBO to widespread critical acclaim, including a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. She is also known for her appearances on The Daily Show (Comedy Central), The Break with Michelle Wolf (Netflix), and for making international headlines as the much-talked-about headliner of the 2018 White House Correspondents' Dinner. In the UK, she has appeared on Have I Got News for You, QI and Would I Lie to You? (BBC).
