Meet The Cast Of TOM GATES Live In Bristol This February

The cast of brand-new stage show Tom Gates Live! will host a special meet-and-greet session for young fans in Bristol ahead of the show opening at the Bristol Hippodrome on February 20th.

Tom Gates Live! comes from the producers behind the Olivier award-nominated Gangsta Granny and the celebrated Horrible Histories stage shows, who have teamed up with acclaimed author and illustrator Liz Pichon to create a brand new story exclusively for the stage.

The show is based on Liz Pichon's popular children's book series which follow Tom and his friends through a myriad of adventures. More than five million Tom Gates books have been sold in the UK and abroad and the books have been translated into 43 languages.

To celebrate the show coming to the Bristol Hippodrome for the first time, its stars Matthew Chase, Daniel Harkin, Matthew Gordon, Ashley Cousins, Amy Hargreaves and Justin Davies will be hosting a special meet-and-greet session at Storysmith Books in Southville from 1.45-2.30pm on February 20th.

Young fans will be able to meet Tom and his friends and get a sneak preview of the brand-new adventures they'll be getting up to on stage here in Bristol. Guests will also be able to purchase copies of the latest Tom Gates book What Monster and find out more information about the stage adaptation.

In this brand new stage adventure Tom's doing everything possible to stay out of trouble, but somehow he's got THREE sad faces on the school achievement chart! And getting another sad face means Mr Fullerman won't let him go on the SCHOOL TRIP!

Moany Marcus Meldrew is making things worse and now Tom's annoyed his grumpy sister Delia. EVEN Amy Porter (who's smart) won't talk to him! Can his best friend Derek help? Will Rooster the dog stop eating his homework? Will his grandparents the Fossils ever make something he can actually EAT?

The show is adapted by Liz Pichon and Neal Foster with music by Mark Flannery, directed by Neal Foster, designed by Jackie Trousdale, lighting by Jason Taylor and sound by Nick Sagar.
