TICKETS are selling fast for Fiddler On The Roof, at The Marlowe Theatre next month.

Paul Michael Glaser will play the lead role of Tevye, in the musical, directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, the Strictly Come Dancing judge.

Glaser is best known for playing David Starsky in the iconic Starsky And Hutch TV series (1975 - 1979), opposite David Soul. He also made a brief cameo appearance in the 2004 film version of the same name. He has many other TV credits to his name, including most recently Captain Jack Steeper in NBC's Third Watch.

On stage he has appeared in more than 50 roles in regional, repertory, off-Broadway and Broadway theatre in the US. His film credits include the classic 1971 version of Fiddler On The Roof, in the role of the student and Bolshevik revolutionary Perchik. His directorial credits include several episodes of Starsky And Hutch, Miami Vice, Robbery Homicide Division and Judging Amy, as well as the children's film Kazaam. He is also a writer of poetry and children's literature. He has appeared on the UK stage before in pantomime at Bromley and Sunderland.
