Idle Discourse Presents THE CHAINSAW MANICURE at the Tabard Theatre

Quirky comedy The Chainsaw Manicure by Thomas Kett will play at the Tabard Theatre for a limited 3 week run in its first London revival.

Two girls, Abigail and Frances fixate about sexual adventures - real or imagined - and an abundance of yoga. However their cosy house-share in Peckham is suddenly disrupted by their new lodger, Gary, an eccentRic Young man with a desire for ketchup filled sandwiches and an unusual fetish with a large petrol-driven chainsaw. He proves to be more than a handful, but will the noise pollution be the last straw?

Thomas Kett's first play, The Cruel Grasp was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and received The Times Critic's Choice two weeks running. His other plays have included The Bellingham Trap, An Unexpected Strangling (Directed by Roxana Silbert) and Acid Hearts was shortlisted at the Croydon and International Playwriting Festival before its premier at The Finborough Theatre.

The Chainsaw Manicure was first performed at the ETC Theatre and later translated into French before running in Paris. Tom has also written for TV and his Theatre-in-Education company Upstage Musical Productions produces original Musical Theatre projects in schools and theatres both in the UK and abroad.

Starring Tamaryn Payne (best known as Hollyoaks series regular Annalise Appleton), Hannah Hawkins and Dan Dawes, this zany, madcap 90's nostalgic comedy marks its first London revival since its premiere at the Etcetera Theatre in 1994 and plays a limited three week run at the Tabard Theatre.
