The English National Opera will team up with Punchdrunk to co-produce THE DUCHESS OF MALFI, Torsten Rasch's opera, in its world premiere. The production will be site-specific and take place at Great Eastern Quady in London's Royal Albert Basin. Performances will begin on July 13.

The artistic director of Punchdrunk, Felix Barrett, will stage the piece and Stephen Higgins will conduct.

John Webster's Jacobean tragedy involving love, murder, and incest, has been adapted by librettist Ian Burton.

The production will take place over three floors of an office space that has been made available by Notting Hill Housing Trust.
