Whatsonstage.com is reporting that Simon Callow star in a double bill of two little-seen one-man holiday plays by Charles Dickens: Dr. Marigold and Mr. Chops at Riverside Studios.  The productions will run from December 12 - January 31.

Dickens, wrote the two stories while enjoying the apex of his popularity, had presented the works in readings but have never been produced on a large scale. It has been nearly 150 years since Dr. Marigold has been resurrected on-stage.

Callow has previously portrayed Dickens in The Mystery of Charles Dickens, which ran in both the West End and on Broadway.
