Following a series of hugely popular and successful performances at the Royal Albert Hall, Apollo Digital Entertainment, by arrangement with the Royal Albert Hall, is proud to announce three exclusive tour dates for DISNEY FANTASIA: LIVE IN CONCERT, with live underscore by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Described as 'a magical treat for the eyes and the ears', DISNEY FANTASIA: LIVE IN CONCERT can be enjoyed by all the family this Christmas on an 80ft screen in high definition at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on 27 December, the phones4u Arena in Manchester on 28 December and the nia Arena in Birmingham on 29 December.

Disney shares one of its crown jewels of feature animation, showcasing selections from Walt Disney's original 1940 Fantasia and Disney's Fantasia 2000, featuring a selection of the magnificent repertoire from both films, including Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite, and, performed and screened simultaneously for the first time in the UK, Ponchielli's Dance of the Hours, the great ballet of hippos, elephants, ostriches and alligators. Other iconic moments from Disney's stunning footage, such as Mickey Mouse as he dabbles in magic in Dukas' The Sorcerer's Apprentice and the mythical unicorns and winged horses that accompany Beethoven's 'Pastoral' Symphony, will also be shown in HD on the big screen. With live underscore by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Ludwig Wicki, this is another chance to relive this timeless classic and unique cinematic experience.

Walt Disney once said, 'Fantasia is timeless. It may run ten, twenty, thirty years. Fantasia is an idea in itself. I can never build another. I can improve. I can elaborate. That is all.' Disney's Jonathan Heely, Executive Producer of the programme, added, 'Now 73 years later, these live performances of Fantasia are a way we can honour Mr Disney's vision while introducing new patrons young and old to the concert hall with the inspiring sounds of the symphony orchestra.'
