After a hugely successful and critically acclaimed world premiere season in Adelaide, Andrew Bovell's Things I Know To Be True will have its UK premiere in September this year, for which the full cast has been announced.

In a first ever international collaboration, State Theatre Company jointly commissioned and co- produced the play with one the UK's most exciting theatre companies Frantic Assembly. Things I Know To Be True will be recreated by its Australian and UK creative team with a British cast for a tour that will premiere at the Lyric Hammersmith in London on September 16th, before a two month tour to Oxford, Warwick, Liverpool, Manchester and Chichester.

State Theatre Company's Artistic Director Geordie Brookman said, "It's a testament to the strength of the production that we've been able to attract such a strong cast in the UK. Things
I Know To Be True represents a major stepping stone on our journey to making State Theatre Company a true international player and achieves our long held aim of taking Australian writing to the world."

This moving play by one of Australia's greatest storytellers probes the complexities of family and resonated deeply with Adelaide and Canberra audiences. The production, which features the trademark physicality of Frantic Assembly, takes a poetic and sometimes brutally frank look of the things that both bind families together and tear them apart.

Originally brought to life by a company of Australian actors - Georgia Adamson, Paul Blackwell, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Eugenia Fragos, Nathan O'Keefe and Tim Walter - State Theatre Company's Artistic Director Geordie Brookman will again co-direct a UK cast with Frantic Assembly's Tony and Olivier Award nominated Artistic Director Scott Graham.

Well known for previous appearances on the West End, Natalie Casey and Imogen Stubbs will star in the play's UK production. They will be joined by Matthew Barker, Richard Mylan, Kirsty Oswald, Ewan Stewart, all of whom have previously performed with Frantic Assembly.

In London's West End, Natalie Casey has previously appeared in Legally Blonde and Abigail's Party and is well known for her TV roles starring in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps (BBC) and Hollyoaks (Mersey Television). Imogen Stubbs has appeared in numerous shows in the West End, and for the Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Theatre and many regional theatres. Imogen's film credits include Twelfth Night, True Colours, Deadline, A Summer Story and Sense and Sensibility.

As beautifully touching as it is funny and bold, Things I Know To Be True tells the story
of a family and marriage through the eyes of four grown siblings struggling to define themselves beyond their parents' love and expectations. Parents Bob and Fran have worked their fingers to the bone and with their four children grown and ready to fly the nest it might be time to relax and enjoy the roses. But the changing seasons bring home some shattering truths.

Andrew Bovell is regarded as one of Australia's greatest dramatic storytellers with his extensive credits inlcuding critically acclaimed plays including When The Rain Stops Falling, Speaking In Tongues and a stage adaptation of Kate Grenville's The Secret River, as well as screen work including Lantana and A Most Wanted Man.
