CRASH to Bring Aerial Dance to The Cockpit as Part of Camden Fringe

CRASH is a rollercoaster of feelings, a symphony of colliding bodies. A show that chases moments of emotional intensity, a story about life's ups and downs, a celebration of strength and fragility.

The premiere of CRASH will take place at The Cockpit Theatre as part of the Camden Fringe Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd August 2017 with further dates to be announced in 2018.

Featuring breath-taking aerial dance, intimate acrobatics, jaw-dropping fire performance, and an array of circus artists of the highest ability CRASH is a raw poetic exploration of human feelings in their purest form.

CRASH was created by Edward Gosling and Laurane Marchive for Chivaree Circus; their work includes a combined 15 years of performance experience, a Guinness World record to their name and past productions for festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude, Primavera, Electric Picnic and many others as well as for club nights, parties, charities, events. Chivaree Circus has performed internationally across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. CRASH is Chivaree Circus' second solo production, following on from a critically acclaimed and sold out run of their immersive circus show Becoming Shades at the Vaults, Waterloo. Critics described Becoming Shades as "breathtaking", "haunting", "brilliant" and the show won the "Origins Award" for "Outstanding New Work" at the Vault Festival.

The Camden Fringe is now in it's eleventh year, and features a wide range of performances across 22 venues in the area. The Cockpit is a fantastic venue for circus, with a high ceiling clearance for aerial acrobatics and an in the round stage which brings the audience closer to the action and creates a more intimate experience.

CRASH is produced by Chivaree Circus, which is also the company behind the artistic and creative development of the show.

The cast of CRASH includes some of the best circus performers currently in the UK: Rebecca Rennison (aerial silks), Jackie Le (aerial hoop), Snake Fervor (fire), Lily Raptor (hula hoop), Lil

Rice (Cyr wheel and singing), Mike Corr (Juggling and Acrobatics) and further cast tba. It will be hosted by the magnificent cabaret star Dusty Limits, singer, compere and MC legend. Costumes by Laurane Marchive and Black Lune.
