A BLACK COUNTRY NIGHT OUT Returns To Wolverhampton A BLACK COUNTRY NIGHT OUT is one of the longest running shows in the Midlands and returns to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on Tuesday 11 September.

Over the years it has starred some of the truly great local entertainers such as Aynuk & Ayli, Tommy Mundon, Dolly Allen and Giggetty.

This tradition has continued as the show has played to packed houses all over the region and in 2018 the heritage of the Black Country carries on with a show full of fabulously talented entertainers.

Show regulars Dandy are one of the most sought after comedy acts, husband and wife Alan and Glyn are always right on-the-button with their constantly refreshed routines.

It is a great pleasure to welcome the band behind The Black Country Anthem, The Empty Can who have performed all over the world but have their hearts firmly in the Black Country.

On Sunday 29 July the comedian Ian 'Sludge' Lees passed away. Being the ultimate professional - he suggested that we should look to replace him for this year's A Black Country Night Out. We had often talked about some of the new acts that were breaking through in the Black Country so it was not a surprise that the same name was on both our lists to invite to join the cast...Wayne Beese.

Wayne has been performing stand up for a few years now and has honed his skills both locally and around the UK. The go to compere for comedy shows, he is a great fit to join husband and wife comedy duo Dandy, comedian Ollie Spencer, the resident band The Empty Can along with the wonderfully talented Joe Thomas (with his ukulele).

As Ian said 'it's show business .....the show must go on.....' and it will with a tear in the eye.

We welcome some new faces to the show. Ollie Spencer one of the region's finest comedians whose showbusiness credentials include being the drummer (so many comedians were drummers!) with The Idle Race whose line-up included Jeff Lynne, we are introducing the wonderful Joe Thomas who will be putting a smile on your face and having you singing some classic songs performed on his ukulele for any fans of George Formby out there. Your Master Of Ceremonies for 2018 is the very funny Wayne Beese.

A BLACK COUNTRY NIGHT OUT is back...packed to the brim with music, mirth and merriment!!

"What a great night... just like it used to be!"
