8fold Theatre Opens THE DOOR at Park Theatre, London, Tonight

Innovative New Theatre Company 8fold theatre present The Door at London's newest theatre - the Park Theatre at Finsbury Park - from tonight, 12th November to 1st December, following their Best New Play Award shortlisting at this year's Brighton Fringe.

Inspired by writer Cherise Cross's own battle with insomnia, The Door is a dark, psychological drama that takes the audience on an unnerving journey into the surreal world of sleep deprivation.

As John stumbles ever further into a maze of questions and confusion, we are asked to consider why this is happening and how he will escape it. Could the answer be hidden within his own mind?

The Door is the latest production from London's 8fold theatre, a company rapidly developing a reputation for thought-provoking work and immersive theatre that delves into the machinations of the psyche. Other Current Productions include The Arrangement and The Portrait - completing a trilogy of productions which explore the dark secrets behind the façade of the seemingly obvious.

If you like visual storytelling that makes you think, debate, and bring your own beliefs to the final conclusion... this is the play for you. Shot through with a wicked black humour, The Door promises an unforgettable theatrical experience for those bold enough to step inside.

The cast of The Door include Philip Nightingale, Adèle Keating, James Naylor, Robert Bradley and Stephanie Lodge.

The Door is written By Cherise Cross and directed by Amy Draper. Set design is by Ele Slade, costumes by Clare Amos, lighting by Daniel Hutchinson and sound by Neil McKeown.
