The Junes Company and Monday Nite Actors Presents A DAMN FINE NITE OF ACTORS, Now thru 10/20

By:

These are the faces you recognize but you don't know. These are Canadian actors who die in the first scene of Hollywood movies shot in Canada; they are the doormen who tell the hero which way the villain went; the wives our hero leaves behind in the small home town; members of the squad who support the hero on the endless chase. You've seen them many, many times on the large and small screen, standing behind the Hollywood star.

These are Canadian actors; well trained, highly skilled, and thoroughly professional. They don't get to star, their name scrolls quickly at the end. Until now.

A Damn Fine Nite of Actors is a showcase of some of the best talent in this town. They act, sure, but they also write, direct, produce, sing. They show stories.

Twenty-two people, just a fraction of a much larger group who meet weekly to exercise their creative muscles by performing scenes, many of which they have written themselves, have come together to present some of their work to the public.

Seven short one-act plays, each by a different writer, director and actors, bring the audience into ever-changing worlds of revenge, infidelity, friendship, religion and much more. Producers Andrew Faiz, Andy Fraser and Michael Ripley have framed the night to best showcase the story-telling talents of this remarkable group.
