Photo Coverage: Disney's The Lion King Arrives in Toronto

Disney's Award-Winning Musical The Lion King returns to Toronto for a limited engagement this week through June 19th.  A hit with Toronto audiences, The Lion King had an extremely successful four year run at The Princess of Wales between 1999-2004 and now the circle of life will begin again when the show returns to its home on April 19th.

 

Experience the phenomenon of Disney’s THE LION KING.  Marvel at the breathtaking spectacle of animals brought to life by award-winning director Julie Taymor, whose visual images for this show you’ll remember forever.  Thrill to the pulsating rhythms of the African Pridelands and an unforgettable score including Elton John and Tim Rice’s Oscar-winning song “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” and “Circle of Life.”  Let your imagination run wild at the Tony Award-winning Broadway sensation Newsweek calls “a landmark event in entertainment.” 

Mirvish Productions held a special press event on April 15th, 2011 where the media was invited to come and see some of the masks and costumes used in the production. BWW was on hand to capture photos of the award-winning designs.
