Sweet Charity explores the turbulent love life of Charity Hope Valentine, a hopelessly romantic, but comically unfortunate dance hall hostess in New York City.
With a tuneful, groovy score by Cy Coleman, Sweet Charity captures all the energy, humour and heartbreak of life in the big city for an unfortunate, but irrepressible optimist. It's a story about perseverance and hopefulness in a world filled with people that are just looking out for themselves. With an endless lineup of upbeat songs, intricate Fosse-style choreography and a cast of memorable characters - you can't help but fall in love with Sweet Charity!
