Bremen Rock City, written by Canadian artists Colleen Dauncey, Akiva Romer-Segal, and Sara Farb, was first performed at Toronto Fringe in 2013 where it received outstanding reviews. First performed by a cast of adults, the show has been reimagined and adapted by its creators, into a piece perfect for young artists.

The incredibly fun show follows the adventures of Jack, a guitar-shredding donkey, and his band 'The Strays!' As the band's fame grows and Jack is thrown into the world of rock and roll stardom, he must decide what matters most to him...fame or friendship.

"The Fringe survived our July monsoons to come up with record attendance and fielded a surefire commercial hit for the future with the hippest kids' musical ever, Bremen Rock City, the brainchild of Colleen Dauncey, Akiva Romer-Segal and Sara Farb." - Richard Ouzounian, Toronto Star

Reinventing this smash hit creates a vehicle through which to expose young artists to original Canadian music theatre.

"It is vitally important to expose young, aspiring artists to new and exciting material emerging from Canadian music theatre writers. We are thrilled to have our Youth Troupe performers explore this fun, relevant, age-appropriate rock musical." - Melissa Bencic, Artistic Director, Bravo Academy for the Performing Arts

These three Canadian artists have created a special show which stands to invigorate the landscape of youth theatre and inspire and empower a new generation of Canadian writers and composers.

On December 1st 2018, this reinvigorated adaptation of this acclaimed show will have its world premiere on the stage of the Toronto Centre for the Arts.

The show is produced by Bravo Academy for the Arts and will feature a talented cast of 10-13 year olds, with the show's own composer Colleen Dauncey as Music Director.

Toronto Centre for the Arts, 5040 Yonge St, North York, ON M2N 6R8. December 1st (2pm & 7pm), December 2nd (11am and 4pm. For more information, visit http://www.tocentre.com/events/bremen-rock-city
