The 2017 Toronto International Film Festival has just announced this morning its opening Midnight Madness films set to premiere.

The first film set to make its world premiere north of the border on September 7th is "Bodied", from director Joseph Kahn and stars Anthony Michael Hall, Rory Uphold, Calum Worthy and Debra Wilson.

The film, about race relations through the lens of battle rap, comes directly from the vision of Kahn and producers Eminem, Paul Rosenberg and Jill Hardin. Kahn of course is famous for his world class music videos where he's directed multiple Taylor Swift videos including "Bad Blood Ft. Kendrick Lamar" in addition to videos by Imagine Dragons ("Thunder"), Britney Spears ("Toxic"), Katy Perry ("Waking Up in Vegas"), and U2 ("Elevation"), and many others.

The film opens up TIFF 2017 and is sure to be a hit with audiences.
