Citadel Theatre Executive Director Joins EEDC Board Of Directors The Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) recently welcomed five new board members, including Citadel Theatre Executive Director Chantell Ghosh. Ms. Ghosh is a native Edmontonian, who, in recent years, worked as a senior marketing and communications leader with several U.S. firms. She left her role as Director of Brand Development with Spirit Airlines in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to take up the reins at the Citadel.

"A big part of my desire to return Edmonton was the excitement at how far the City had come and where it was poised to go," says Ms. Ghosh. "I am grateful for the opportunity to work with all the talented people at the EEDC and my fellow board members to help shape the vision for the City. I am particularly pleased to be bringing the voice of the arts as part of the economic engine of our community to the table."

Ms. Ghosh has a long-time engagement in the Arts and spent a year as the Director of Marketing and Communications with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She worked as a lawyer in Edmonton for 10 years prior to working in marketing and communications in the energy, travel, and tourism and arts sectors for the last decade.

The other new board members are: Chris Micetich, David Bryan, Rohit Gupta, and Marcela Mandeville, effective April 19, 2018. The board also announced the extension of Angela Fong's term as EEDC Board Chair.

The EEDC reports to an Edmonton City Council-appointed Board of Directors, comprised of business and community leaders, who ensure the goals and strategies of the organization achieve the level of economic impact that is desired by the Shareholder, the City of Edmonton. The board meets quarterly to review the performance of the EEDC management across all divisions, and provides insights and recommendations for achieving the resilient growth and continuous prosperity needed in the Edmonton economy.
