Now celebrating our sixth year of introducing premier performances that will light a fuse through the FireWorks Festival. This year's three original scripts were developed and nurtured at the Alumnae Theatre through its New Ideas Festival and its New Play Development program.

Thought-provoking and daring, the three premieres featured in FireWorks 2018 have a unifying theme: reckoning with the past.

• The Pigeon by Chloë Whitehorn (November 7-11), directed by Victoria Shepherd, deals with a young punk and a middle aged woman plotting a chilling revenge

• Moving On by Elmar Maripuu (November 14-18), directed by Helly Chester, is a knockabout farce about a visionary software proposal and an illegal grow op.

• Animal by Romeo Ciolfi (November 21-25), directed by Evelyn Long, is a courageous exploration of a disturbed mind visited by ghosts.

Produced by Molly Thom and Liz Best.

Post-show bonuses include discussions and talkbacks with the audience to provide a behind the scenes opportunity to gain insights into how the theatre comes to life.

Tickets $15 • Wed to Saturday at 8 pm Saturday & Sunday Matinees at 2 pm. Purchase tickets online: https://www.alumnaetheatre.com/ or in person with CASH only at theatre box office.
