Cabrillo Music Theatre to Offer Free Concert PEOPLE WILL SAY WE'RE IN LOVE, 6/26

For the ninth straight year, Cabrillo Music Theatre is presenting a free concert as part of the Westlake T.G.I.F. event series, and this time they're bringing some friends! Buckles and Bows, the Square Dance Club of the Conejo Valley, will entertain the guests with their music and moves, as part of the evening. The concert, titled PEOPLE WILL SAY WE'RE IN LOVE, showcases the songs of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and will feature a preview of Cabrillo Music Theatre's upcoming production of the famed team's OKLAHOMA!. PEOPLE WILL SAY WE'RE IN LOVE performs for one night only, Friday, June 26th, at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village.
Cabrillo Music Theatre to Launch CORNERSTONE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Director of Development Maureen O'Boyle Feldman and Artistic Director Lewis Wilkenfeld proudly announce Cabrillo Music Theatre's first-ever Annual Campaign. Dubbed the CABRILLO CORNERSTONE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN, this drive will roll out over the next three months, culminating in a grand concert fundraiser that will become the 'place to be' for entertainment and support for the community. Along the way will be numerous events surrounding Cabrillo's summer production of OKLAHOMA!, plus the return of one of Cabrillo's most popular and successful events, the Cabrillo Dance Marathon. The CABRILLO CORNERSTONE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN takes place at various locations in Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas between now and August 29th, 2015.
Cabrillo Music Theatre's OKLAHOMA! Coming to TOPAC This July

OKLAHOMA! opens on Friday, July 17th , 2015, playing until Sunday, July 26th , and features an added mid-week matinee on July 22nd , at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

Along the way, he encounters an evil wizard and his beleaguered apprentice, two magic rabbits who never met a pun they didn't like and an unemployed princess. With the recent 2013 revival, the theatre world and all who see it are rediscovering this powerful show. It now has a showing through May 2nd with the Theatre Department at Agoura High School.

Frost/Nixon is Peter Morgan's award-winning play about the televised 1977 interviews between British talk show host David Frost and deposed president Richard M. Nixon. The interviews were divided into four segments, each focusing on a different topic. The original broadcast of the first segment drew 45 million viewers. What most people were looking for, including Frost, was an admission of guilt, a show of remorse, and some sign of contrition from the former president for the Watergate scandal that brought down his administration in 1974.

Terra C. MacLeod was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. Her experience in the performing arts started when she was four years old, when she began taking ballet lessons. She got her theater arts degree at AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy), after which started getting roles such as Cassie in A Chorus Line. Terra has traveled around the world as a performer; today, she calls Vancouver, British Columbia home, and has performed in such shows as Damn Yankees, My Fair Lady, and She Loves Me. This weekend, Terra comes to Thousand Oaks performing one of her favorite roles, the sultry murderess Velma in Theater League's production of Chicago. We talked to her from the road and she gave us some fascinating insights into her character.
