This October audiences in Sydney are in for a special treat!

For the first time ever on our shores, opera superstar Angela Gheorghiu will be here to perform a stunning opera gala with The Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, conducted by highly respected Maestro Tiberiu Soare.

She is the world’s most glamorous and gifted singer, whose magnificent voice and dazzling stage presence have mesmerised audiences around the world and earned spectacular reviews from the critics.

After her stunning international debut in 1992, newspapers proclaimed "A star is born". Over the past two decades her warmth, sophistication and breathtaking talent have kept her in constant demand at the top opera houses, including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, La Scala in Milan, Opera Bastille in Paris and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

A natural actress, she conveys her characters with sensitivity and profound feeling. Her performances have made her a standout amongst her generation of singers and confirmed her status as one of opera’s most beloved stars.
