Short+Sweet Announces Week Two Lineup

Week two - with 10 short plays nightly - features Tiger, by NZ writer Robert Gilbert.
Two siblings at the mercy of their dominating father. Jessica Phoebe Knox directs Paris Change and Hannah Moy in this play dedicated to survivors of DV.
Alison Chambers and Lizzie Rose McPherson directed by Jo Kadlecek. "When a desperate young woman drops of a bundle to the Salvos, her world collides with a woman sleeping rough. Together they encounter the miracle of grace and boobs." Petal by Marko Mustac is a powerful story of a father's revenge against the abusers and killers of his daughter. Valwyn McMonigal directs James Sugrue, Fucundo Herrera and Christina Kinley. Finally, rising star Louise Reily directs US playwright Michael Strang's 5th Short+Sweet play Which Goldberg? With an all-star cast of Liz Hovey, Joanna Weinberg and Simon Lenthen, this delightful short comedy is set in a Jewish funeral home. Short+Sweet Theatre opens at the Tom Mann Theatre, 136 Chalmers St, Surry Hills on 1 Feb and runs through February and March with both a Top 80 (weekly, Thur-Sat 7.30pm, Sun 6.30pm) and separate Wildcards program (Sat 3.30pm, Sun 2.30pm throughout February).
Short+Sweet Film kicks in too each Monday night from March! The gala finals take place in April.
