STC's SUNCORP TWENTIES to Continue Through 2015

By:

Suncorp and Sydney Theatre Company's major partnership, Suncorp Twenties - providing a selection of tickets for just $20 to every STC performance (excluding opening nights) - is confirmed to continue throughout 2015.

Incorporating some of the most anticipated shows in years, including Endgame with Hugo Weaving, The Present with Cate Blanchett and Richard Roxburgh and King Lear with Geoffrey Rush, Suncorp Twenties will, for the first time, be made available online in addition to over the counter and via telephone. From Tuesday 7 April 2015 (coinciding with the opening of Endgame) at 9am, Suncorp Twenties will be available at www.sydneytheatre.com.au/suncorptwenties

Launched almost two years ago, Suncorp Twenties have proved a huge hit with audiences and remains the most comprehensive, year-round initiative of its type in Australia. Every Tuesday morning at 9am, Suncorp Twenties go on sale for every STC show for the following week (Monday to Saturday), excluding opening night performances.

STC Executive Director Patrick McIntyre said: "Suncorp Twenties have become much loved by those snapping up these cheap tickets. In a recent survey of Suncorp Twenties buyers, 100% of respondents said they would definitely recommend Suncorp Twenties to others. Overwhelmingly our customers prefer to purchase tickets online, so we're pleased to now introduce an online purchase facility, and we are very grateful to Suncorp for their continuing support of the initiative."

Geoff Summerhayes, CEO of Suncorp Life, said: "Suncorp Twenties allows access to the best theatre at a very affordable price and we are delighted to extend this innovative sponsorship of the highly successful program with Sydney Theatre Company. It's great that people will find them easier to purchase too, with the introduction of online sales every Tuesday."

There are no transaction fees for Suncorp Twenties and tickets are sold two per transaction.
