The New South Wales University Theatre Society (NUTS) are thrilled to announce their major production for 2017, the creepy, kooky The Addams Family Musical. Playing at the Science Theatre UNSW, The Addams Family will run from Thursday 17 August - Saturday 19 August 2017.

With music and lyrics by renowned musical composer Andrew Lippa, this Tony nominated musical follows the iconic spooky family - The Addams Family. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents.

"The Addams Family, the Musical promises to be a fun, kooky night at the theatre for all ages. For those who grew up with the wonderful characters created by Charles Addams, this is a great new take on the beloved family whilst offering plenty of nostalgia. I am honored to be working with such hard-working and talented people in both the cast and crew and feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring this show to life at the Science Theatre this August." - Carly Fisher, Director.

This musical is one of the most ambitious productions in NUTS history. Showing at the 800+ seat UNSW Science theatre with a large ensemble cast and elaborate set and costuming The Addams Family will be a bold and exciting production. After a much beloved and successful Australian stage tour in 2013, this re-imagination is grand vision from Director Carly Fisher and Musical Director Hamish Stening that is not to be missed.

Tickets are NUTS Members $20, Arc Members $25, General Admission $30, Children $20, and Group Bookings 10+ $20. Purchase tickets at www.trybooking.com/PTGW.
