Joanna Weinberg to Celebrate PANDORA'S BAG Album Launch Next Month

Cabaret artist, musical writer and songwriter Joanna Weinberg is back to launch her new album! The much-awaited album of Pandora's Bag is now available and will be launched with a full performance of the hit show featuring its funky all-girl band and quirky bag model 'Chantelle'! Weinberg is the force behind and the voice up front of a slew of award-winning cabaret, stage and screen hits:
Lifeforce, Every Single Saturday, the Piano Diaries, Baroness Bianka's Bloodsongs, 12 Shoes and Sinksongs - the inspiration for her feel-good international feature film Goddess. Pandora's Bag is a hilarious collection of 10 songs all inspired by that must-have item: the handbag! From the sexy to the sassy, the sad to the hilarious, Weinberg opens the bag of female mystery and pulls out everything from dirty laundry to leather fetishes and 'bag porn' (her secret vice). She sings of middle-aged women on ships, timeless female myths and secret women's business. There is a new song in the show too - "Doctor D" - dedicated to a real flying female doctor from Sydney. 'Chantelle' will showcase an unusual bag collection and there is even a 'show and tell' section where audience members are encouraged to tell personal or amusing stories about their bags. The best story wins a designer bag from Cantabulous!
